What did you do this past week?
This past week, I caught up on lecture for classes, as well as finished up my last programming for performance project. Outside of school work, I looked extensively for and toured a handful of apartments.

What’s in your way?
I still have to make a final decision for an apartment and sign my lease, which might take a bit more time than I’d like.

What will you do next week?
Next week, I’ll finish up unit tests for Life with my partner, as well as finish my Graphics presentation with my other partner.

If you read it, what did you think of the The Joel Test?
I did not read the Joel Test.

What was your experience of virtual and dynamic binding? (this question will vary, week to week)
I wasn’t aware that C++ used static binding in most cases, so it was helpful to know when dynamic binding is necessary. I still would like more experience using dynamic binding through practicing writing well structured code.

What made you happy this week?
Although it was filled with work, going back to Austin was a lot of fun! I can’t wait to return back in the fall!

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
Investing in two monitors is a great boost to productivity, and is a worthwhile investment. While initially believing I could achieve maximum productivity on a laptop, using two monitors for two years has completely changed my initial belief.
